Our Story

Since 2007, our experienced team of sustainability practitioners and marketing communications professionals have been assisting clients to transform their operations, reshape their organizational culture, and overhaul core systems by integrating ESG (environment, social and governance) strategies. We have sought to educate other business leaders by presenting more than 50 talks for business conferences, tradeshows, and webinars on topics in sustainable solutions/strategies for business. We help our clients to craft compelling narratives around their unique social and environmental efforts, ensuring that the value and impact of these actions is clearly conveyed to their key stakeholders, including employees, customers, investors, and the surrounding community.

Awards

At Evolution Marketing, we pride ourselves on our award-winning work. Our accomplishments include the 2022 Health and Wellness Design Award from Graphic Design USA for the Artisan Dental Impact Report. We've also been honored with multiple MarCom Awards in 2020 and 2021, particularly in Environmental & Sustainability Communications. Our commitment to corporate social responsibility was recognized with Communitas Awards, and we were thrilled to be the 2020 Small Business of the Year by the Oconomowoc Area Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, our sustainable business practices earned us the U.S. Green Building Council’s 2020 Award of Excellence.

  • Lisa Geason-Bauer

    PRESIDENT & TRAINED B CONSULTANT

    Founder of Evolution Marketing, Lisa is a pioneer in triple bottom line management and sustainability consulting. With expertise at the intersection of sustainability, marketing, and innovation, she assists clients in differentiating through sustainable strategies and circular economy principles. An experienced systems thinker, Lisa excels in integrating sustainability into business operations and culture. In 2023, she became a Trained B Consultant through B Lab US & Canada. Lisa's consultancy spans supply chain sustainability, social sustainability, renewable energy, and green building. Additionally, she co-founded B Local WI, serves as its Chair, and is the Vice Chair of the Waukesha Ozaukee Washington County Workforce Board.

  • Michael Bauer

    GRAPHIC DESIGNER & ECO-ARTIST

    Michael, who joined Evolution Marketing in 2010, has extensive experience in print design, magazine marketing, and direct mail, as well as hands-on print production. As the lead creative designer, he is responsible for all print projects, including annual reports, marketing brochures, and Evolution Marketing’s branding and impact reports. His work has garnered several awards, including American Graphic Design Awards, International Marketing & Communications Gold, and Honorable Mentions. Key projects include JRS Country Acres' rebranding and Greener Oconomowoc's Earth Day Bike Summit.

  • Leah Steinberg

    MARKETING ASSOCIATE & SUSTAINABILITY CONSULTANT

    Leah Steinberg, a University of Wisconsin, Madison graduate, specializes in strategic marketing, impact reporting, social media planning, community outreach, and sustainability consulting. With a strong commitment to the environment, Leah has developed expertise in third-party certifications, particularly the B Corp certification. In addition, Leah has also obtained a Certificate in Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School Online, strengthening her ability to integrate sustainable practices into marketing and communications.

  • Melina Marcus

    SUSTAINABILITY COMMUNICATIONS & MEDIA RELATIONS STRATEGIST

    Melina Marcus is President and Founder of MM Consulting Services. She is an entrepreneur at heart having co-founded Rebel Green as one of Wisconsin’s first, mission-based, environmentally responsible consumer packaged goods (CPG brands). As the Co-founder and the firm’s Communications Strategist, Melina has been responsible for the co-development of their eco-chic and environmentally responsible brand, and their creative messaging from social media to media outreach to the product shelves.

    In addition, Melina serves in a volunteer capacity of Communications Chair for B Local WI.

  • Stephanie Krubsack

    SUSTAINABILITY & WELLNESS CREATIVE

    Stephanie began her creative career 16 years ago as a magazine editor-in-chief and evolved into a blogger at SK Parfait, focusing on food and travel. Her journey included marketing and branding roles in various industries across Wisconsin and Colorado, developing expertise in brand management, content creation, and sustainability consulting. Passionate about wellness and environmental sustainability, she founded Purevant Living to provide creative services highlighting these themes through various mediums, including podcasts and articles. Stephanie also engages in community wellness initiatives and serves on the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council's Advisory Board.
