Women in Sustainability: WSBC Conference Recap
The Evolution Marketing team had an incredible time at this year’s Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council Annual Conference, held at Harley Davidson in Milwaukee. This inspiring event brought together changemakers and sustainability leaders from across the state to exchange ideas, share best practices, and celebrate progress in the realm of responsible business.
Shining a Light on Women in Sustainability
One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity for members of our team, Lisa Geason-Bauer, Trained B Consultant, and Leah Steinberg, to join fellow women in sustainability, August M. Ball and Kayla Riege, on a panel discussion. Together, we explored the importance of communicating your sustainability journey through the unique lens of Wisconsin’s women in sustainability. This conversation resonated deeply with us, as it not only showcased the incredible work being done by women across the state but also emphasized the power of authentic storytelling in driving change.

A Decade of Empowering Women
This panel was particularly special because it was rooted in the work of the Wisconsin Women in Sustainability group—a collective that Lisa co-founded with Jessy Servi Ortiz, MBA a decade ago. Over the past ten years, this group has been instrumental in promoting women’s voices and leadership in sustainability across the state. It was incredibly rewarding to celebrate how our respective companies are advancing sustainability in Wisconsin.
Honored for Our Innovative Impact
Evolution Marketing was honored to receive the WSBC Sustainable Business Award in the Innovative Services category for our impact storytelling services. This recognition highlights our dedication to helping businesses share their sustainability journeys in a meaningful, transparent way that deeply resonates with their stakeholders.
Connecting With Our Community
Beyond the panel and the awards, the conference was a fantastic opportunity to connect with other sustainability advocates and share our passion for building a better future. Events like these remind us why collaboration and shared knowledge are so essential to making meaningful progress. Our team left feeling inspired and ready to continue our work empowering businesses to make a difference.
